Women, Infants, and Children Supplemental Food Program (WIC)
Eligibility: 185% of Federal Poverty Guidelines
WIC (Women, Infants, & Children) is a supplemental nutrition program for babies, children under the age of 5, pregnant women, breastfeeding women, and women who have had a baby in the last 6 months. WIC helps families by providing healthy foods, nutrition education, and referrals to other health care agencies.
To qualify, you must:

- meet income guidelines
- have an Iowa address, and
- have a medical or nutritional need.
A family of four can have an annual gross income of $42,643. Please contact us to see if your family is eligible!
During a WIC appointment, staff will:
- Conduct a health screening (height, weight & hemoglobin)
- Provide a nutrition assessment
- Provide breast feeding counseling & support
- Offer dietary counseling
- Offer advice on how to maintain a healthy lifestyle
- Issue WIC vouchers to help buy:
