They do well in school, have fun with their friends, and they grow up well. Healthy and Well Kids in Iowa (hawk-i) is a program that provides health care coverage for Iowa children in families with limited incomes.



Children and teens under 19 years of age are eligible if they:

• Meet income guidelines (click on the hawk-i logo)
• Are Iowa residents
• Are U.S. citizens or permanent legal residents
• Are not the dependent of a State of Iowa employee
• Are not eligible for Medicaid benefit
