What Can a Child Care Health Consultant Do for You?Child Care Nurse Consultants are registered nurses who provide guidance and technical assistance to child care providers regarding the health and safety of children in care. Depending on the agreement between the child care provider and the health professional, consultant activities may range from:

- On-site consultation visits
- On-site assessment of health and safety practices
- Assistance with policy development
- Assistance in maintaining complete records for children
