BFB is a program designed as a response
to the critical need for quality child care in Sioux,
Lyon, Plymouth and Cherokee counties.
BFB mission is to help child care providers,
parents and early childhood workers understand children's
developmental stages and needs and to help caregivers
improve their interaction techniques.
BFB was created through Northwest
Iowa Community Empowerment. They have employed a Child Care Development
Specialist on staff with Child Care Resource and Referral of Northwest
Iowa. The office is located at Mid-Sioux Opportunity, Inc. in Remsen,
IA.

The goal is to have three sponsored
workshops per county per year. You will ideally have
access to 12 trainings per year being held in the four
county Empowerment area:
Lyon, Sioux, Plymouth and Cherokee counties

and rewards current accomplishments
- encourages
setting and attaining additional goals

As you reach your goals,
you accumulate points, which you can use
to shop for toys, books and equipment found
in a variety of early childhood catalogs.
